Jack is our head coach and the founder of Scratch Golf Studio. With over 10 years of playing & coaching experience, Jack has established himself as one of the North East's most respected golf instructors. His passion for the game and dedication to his students has helped hundreds of golfers transform their game and achieve their goals.

Jack's coaching philosophy centers on clear communication, data-driven insights, and personalized instruction. He believes that every golfer is unique and deserves a tailored approach that works with their natural abilities rather than against them.

Murphy is the heart and soul of Scratch Golf Studio. This lovable labrador has been part of the team since day one, bringing warmth, personality, and endless enthusiasm to every lesson. His friendly demeanor instantly puts nervous beginners at ease and provides a welcome distraction during frustrating practice sessions.

Known for his impeccable timing, Murphy has a sixth sense for when a student needs encouragement. He's been known to deliver a perfectly-timed tail wag after a great shot or a sympathetic head nudge after a shank. Many students credit Murphy with making their lessons feel less like work and more like hanging out with friends.

When he's not busy greeting students or supervising practice sessions, Murphy can be found demonstrating his own unique "paws-through" swing or retrieving stray golf balls with remarkable enthusiasm (though his return accuracy needs work).
