Many women tell us they've felt intimidated at busy driving ranges, unsure of etiquette, self-conscious about their swing. Our ladies lessons are different. You're learning alongside other women at a similar stage, in a relaxed, supportive group.
Whether you want to play your first round, join a club, or simply feel more confident with a club in your hand, your coach gives you pointers specific to your own swing within the group, not a generic one-size-fits-all script.

Putting, chipping, and pitching. Most golfers spend over half their shots within 100 yards of the green, so improving your short game is the fastest way to lower your score and it's far simpler to learn than the full swing.
Rules, etiquette, pace of play, and how to manage yourself on the course. We'll make sure you feel confident playing with others, removing one of the biggest barriers to enjoying the game fully.

Sunderland Golf Centre has 42 covered, floodlit driving range bays. Ladies lessons take place right here, so you're hitting real shots in a real golf environment from your very first session.

Jack Hayward and Dan North are both fully PGA qualified with extensive experience coaching women golfers across all levels. They communicate clearly, explain the "why" behind every change, and create an environment where you always feel supported, not under pressure.
No, these are group lessons with other women. If you'd prefer one-to-one coaching, our 1-2-1 lessons are available too.
None whatsoever. Complete beginners are very welcome. Your first lesson will cover the basics: how to hold the club, how to stand, and how to make your first swing. We'll also talk about your goals and build a plan from there.
No, we have clubs you can use for your first lessons. If you decide golf is for you, we can help you choose the right set at Sunderland Golf Centre, fitted properly to your swing.
